A super selection of activities on the water at SeaFest 2018 are sure to prove hugely popular as Ireland’s largest maritime festival returns to Galway this month.
Visitors to SeaFest 2018 (29th June – 1st July) will get to enjoy a whole host of fun water-based activities in the harbour including sailing, kayaking and motor boating, as well as the opportunity to explore several large visiting ships. The activities on the water are a fantastic chance to try out a water sport for the first time and immerse yourself in all things maritime as Galway Docks comes alive with the buoyant festival atmosphere.
Irish Sailing with the support of the Galway Sailing Clubs and Training Centres is delighted to be running the FREE Try Sailing Sessions on Keelboats and Motorboats on Galway Bay throughout the weekend of SeaFest.
According to Ciarán Murphy, National Inclusion and Children’s Officer, Irish Sailing, “This year we are not only making it bigger by providing over 600 people the opportunity to experience this awesome adventure we are also making it better by being fully inclusive and will have full accessibility for people with disabilities to also enjoy the fun on the water.”
